This matcha latte with strawberry syrup is a creamy, refreshing drink that blends earthy green tea with fruity sweetness. Perfect hot or iced!
1 tsp ceremonial-grade matcha powder
1/4 cup hot water (not boiling)
3/4 cup milk of choice (whole, oat, almond, etc.)
2 tbsp homemade or store-bought strawberry syrup
Ice (for iced version)
In a small bowl, whisk matcha powder with hot water until fully dissolved and frothy.
Add 2 tablespoons of strawberry syrup to the bottom of a glass or mug.
If serving iced: Add ice and pour in cold milk.
If serving hot: Steam or warm milk and pour over syrup.
Pour the matcha mixture over the milk layer.
Stir gently before drinking or leave layered for visual appeal.
For homemade syrup, simmer 1 cup chopped strawberries, 1/3 cup sugar, and 1 tbsp lemon juice until thickened.
