Ingredients

Scale

1 tsp ceremonial-grade matcha powder

1/4 cup hot water (not boiling)

3/4 cup milk of choice (whole, oat, almond, etc.)

2 tbsp homemade or store-bought strawberry syrup

Ice (for iced version)

Instructions

  • In a small bowl, whisk matcha powder with hot water until fully dissolved and frothy.

  • Add 2 tablespoons of strawberry syrup to the bottom of a glass or mug.

  • If serving iced: Add ice and pour in cold milk.

  • If serving hot: Steam or warm milk and pour over syrup.

  • Pour the matcha mixture over the milk layer.

  • Stir gently before drinking or leave layered for visual appeal.

Notes

For homemade syrup, simmer 1 cup chopped strawberries, 1/3 cup sugar, and 1 tbsp lemon juice until thickened.

Adjust syrup quantity for sweetness preference.

Oat milk and whole milk froth best if you want a creamy texture.
